PASTOR SAM FINK
Pastor
Pastor Sam loves building relationships and sharing the promises of Christ with those around him. Before being called to Heart of the Shepherd, he served at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Orchard Park, NY. In his free time he enjoys hunting, golf, and wood work. Pastor Sam, his wife Kelsey, and their 5 children enjoy making and listening to music and reading as a family.
COURTNI HOLST
Child Dev. Center Director
Courtni has a big heart for seeing children and families thrive in all aspects - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She has served as CDC Director since the doors opened in 2005. Courtni and her family never miss a home football game at the University of Michigan, where she holds a B.A. in Psychology.
MICHELLE PERRON
Child Dev. Center Assistant Director
Michelle loves getting to know people and hearing their stories. She is always generating creative ways to gather and connect people. With a passion for lifelong learning, she is currently pursuing education toward becoming a Certified Family Life Educator. Michelle is a member of both the National Council on Family Relations and National Association for the Education of Young Children. If she is unable to be found check the beach.
CHAR SIMKINS
Finance
Char is thankful to be part of the Heart of the Shepherd team and share her love for God. She served in the U.S. Air Force and has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an Associates in Accounting. She is blessed to share her life with her husband and their four children. When she’s not at work, she enjoys horseback riding with her daughters and loves spending time with her family.
Ministry Vision Team
Our Ministry Vision Team (MVT) is responsible for establishing and monitoring the governing policies of the congregation. They work with the Lead Pastor to put goals and strategies in place to train and equip our various ministry teams. The MVT’s main objectives are to move our congregation forward in its mission and ministry as well as to carry out our church’s overall vision.

Elders Team
The Elders Team is responsible for aiding the Pastor in his pastoral duties at his request. Other duties include watching over the spiritual welfare of the entire congregation and providing a reverent and orderly conduct of worship services (e.g., assist in the distribution of Holy Communion). Elders are also accountable for watching over the doctrine, life and official conduct of the pastor, other workers and officers of the congregation.
