“Be imitators of God,” urges Ephesians 5:1. But in order to imitate God, we first need to know God’s character, and how do you even begin to describe God?
Let’s start here: The most repeated description of God’s character in the Bible first appears in Exodus 34:6-7, when God describes himself as compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, overflowing with loyal love and faithfulness.
